Rugby League Hoodie Canberra Legends
The best thing for us will always be a sunny Sunday afternoon, in a suburban paddock at 3pm, when the ref blows his whistle. We love our footy and still can’t get enough of the NRL Premiership, but late night kickoffs and modern stadiums for us aren’t as good as the old days. When some of the greatest Rugby League Legends played the greatest game of all.
NSWRL, QRL, CRL, ARL and NRL. We love them all. Here we celebrate not just modern superstars, but the era of each club which made it what it is and led us to love the game, our players, and our team... in the first place.
We run this site for the love of it and welcome any feedback and suggestions you may have. Email us here.
There was a moment in the 1989 Grand Final between Canberra and Balmain, with things evenly poised where Steve Roach ran at the line in an attempt to lift his team...and the opposite happened. The Test Prop, the best in the world in his position, was hammered by Dean Lance, who gave up about 20 kilos to him. Lance could tackle. Lance could play. Dean Lance was what made the Green Machine, a machine.
