Cronulla were the eternal bridesmaids (until 2016!) and after some success in the 70s, it wasn't until 1988 again that the Shire had a team filled with locals, that they could take to their heart. Jonathan Docking, with his distinctive running style and headgear, was a local junior and one of the best of this breed. He was also amongst the first to win rep honours, playing in two Origins for the Blues.
